Samantha Timmons’ practice focuses on tax planning for mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate restructuring, and tax controversy and litigation.

Practice and Background

Ms. Timmons joined Lewis Bess with over 18 years of experience advising clients on complex tax issues relating to structuring business acquisitions and reorganizations, including domestic and cross-border transactions.  Ms. Timmons has also advised clients on tax matters related to net operating loss analysis, workouts and restructurings; and counseled taxpayers in tax audit and litigation matters.  Although she has worked across many industries, her primary focus includes financial services, technology, energy and real estate.  Her clients include both management teams and private equity funds.
Prior to joining Lewis Bess, Ms. Timmons represented a Fortune 250 corporation located in Colorado, and worked within the New York mergers and acquisitions tax group of a Big Four accounting firm.
