Representative Matters
Represents clients in all aspects of estate and wealth transfer tax planning, from creation of basic wills and revocable trusts to creation and implementation of sophisticated transfer tax efficiency plans involving irrevocable life insurance trusts (ILITs), multi-generational trust structures leveraging clients’ generation-skipping transfer tax exemptions, grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs), qualified personal residence trusts (QPRTs), grantor trusts, and various other gift and estate tax planning strategies. 

Assists clients with charitable planning to maximize contribution to charities while producing income tax and estate and gift tax benefits for the client and family using tools such as charitable remainder annuity and unitrusts (CRATs and CRUTs), charitable lead trusts (CLATs – of the grantor and non-grantor variety), and planning for direct gifts and devises to charity.  

Assists couples in blended family circumstances plan to provide for a spouse during his or her lifetime, while preserving assets for ultimate distribution to children or other individuals from previous relationships.   

Represents clients in creation of pre-marital and marital agreements.  

Assists clients with estate (probate) and trust administration in estates of every size, including estates valued at above the taxability threshold for estate tax purposes.  Prepares tax returns related to transfers of wealth at death and during life, including estate tax returns (Form 706), gift tax returns (Form 709), and fiduciary income tax returns (federal Form 1041).
