Spencer is an environmental, energy, and natural resources litigation attorney who represents clients in complex litigation, regulatory, and administrative proceedings. He has a focus on federal and state court litigation, administrative proceedings, and regulatory issues involving energy, ski areas, oil and gas, federal lands, resorts, contract law, commercial disputes and other matters. Building on his experience as a former judicial law clerk on both the federal and state levels, Spencer blends substantive knowledge of natural resources issues with expertise in administrative law, litigation, and appeals. His clients include oil and gas companies, ski areas, solar energy developers, mining companies, trade associations, resort owners, and individuals.

Prior to joining Lewis Bess Williams & Weese P.C., Spencer served as a judicial law clerk on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Colorado Court of Appeals. Throughout law school, Spencer continued to work as a ski patroller and whitewater raft guide in Aspen’s Roaring Fork Valley.
