Private Client and Estate Planning Attorney

Lewis, Bess, Williams & Weese PC has an opening for an attorney in the Private Client and Estate Planning group to assist in all areas of a boutique trusts and estates practice focused on high net worth and ultra high net worth families and individuals.

The work includes drafting basic and complex estate planning documents, creating and modeling tax planning, charitable giving, and business succession strategies, assisting with the administration of large trusts and estates, drafting marital agreements, and preparing and reviewing gift and estate tax returns. The position provides a high level of direct client contact and counseling, and frequently requires collaborative work with attorneys and professionals from the firm’s other practice areas.

Specifically, we are looking for candidates with:

  • 3-6 years of substantive experience developing and crafting complex plans for taxable estates
  • An ability to own and manage client projects and relationships
  • Outstanding project-management skills
  • Outstanding writing skills
  • Strong skills with Excel and/or tax-specific modeling software are a plus
  • Strong income tax experience is a plus
  • Excellent, above-market compensation and benefits commensurate with experience.
